Delicious British Fruit Punch Cocktail from England. Traditional Recipe of Pimm’s.

Things to know about Pimm’s Recipe

Pimm’s is a classic British drink perfect for a day in the sun and so easy to make. This fruit punch cocktail is sweet, and refreshing with a subtle taste of spice and citrus. Pimm’s is a brand of gin-based fruit cup, created in 1823 by James Pimm, the owner of Oyster Bay Restaurant in London. He offered the tonic (a gin-based drink containing a secret mixture of herbs and liqueurs) as an aid to digestion, serving it in a small tankard known as a “No. 1 Cup”, hence its subsequent name. This soon grew to become a popular long drink across the UK, you will guarantee to find Pimm’s being served at any summer event such as Wimbledon Tennis Tournament or the Royal Ascot Horse Racing. The quantities to make this British Fruit Punch Cocktail are generally 1-part Pimm’s No.1 liqueur to 3-parts lemonade, mixed in with cucumber, strawberries, and mint.
