Authentic Recipe of Bafla. Delicious  Indian Traditional Baked Hard Bread from Madhya Pradesh.

Bafla is an authentic bread originating from Madhya Pradesh. It is similar to Baati, but softer. The combo of Daal Bafla is a classic Indian dish.

Things to know about Bafla Recipe

Daal Bafla is a delicious Indian meal that is heavy, rich, and fulfilling. It is a combination of lentil stew and a baked hard bread prepared using whole wheat flour.

The Indian Traditional Baked Hard Bread from Madhya Pradesh – Bafla is a significant part of the regional main course. Though it originates from Madhya Pradesh, it is insanely popular in Rajasthan Region. The reason behind it is that Rajasthan being a desert state doesn’t have much flora and fauna.

And dishes like this and Dal don’t require too many ingredients. It is the softer version of Baati. It is boiled before baking so that it becomes lighter from the inside. However, cooking it in an oven makes it hard and crispy from the outside.

You can have it with pickles and condiments, but the combination of Daal Baafla is very famous across India. The winter season is the ideal time to prepare this recipe, especially at the festival of Makar Sankranti in January.
