- 3 cups All Purpose Flour – Plain Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tbsp White Sugar – Regular Sugar – Granulated Sugar
- 2 tsp Dry Yeast
- ⅓ cup Milk Lukewarm
- 2 tbsp Plain Yogurt
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 2 cloves Garlic Grated
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 3 tbsp Cilantro Chopped
- 2 tsp Garlic Minced
- In a bowl, combine flour and salt.
- In a separate small bowl, combine yeast, sugar, and milk. Set aside for 5-10 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine water, yogurt, and oil.
- Once the yeast is activated, add the flour mixture into the water mixture. Add in grated garlic.
- Knead the dough and let it rise for an hour.
- When the dough becomes double in size, divide the dough into equal parts.
- Melt butter. Add minced garlic and chopped cilantro.
- Take an iron skillet and heat it on medium flame.
- Make the dough into an oval shape and roll it.
- Transfer the dough onto the skillet.
- Cook the Naan for 20 seconds.
- When the Naan turns golden brown, remove it from the skillet.
- Brush the Naan with the garlic butter prepared earlier.
- Serve the Naan.
Stretch the Naan with your hands and not a rolling pin since rolling toughens the dough. If the Naan doesn’t get bubbles, increase the heat. For fluffy Naans, make the dough thicker.
