  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Peanut
  • 2 tbsp Cashew
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seed
  • 1 tsp Black Lentil
  • 1 tsp Split Chickpea – Chana Dal
  • 1 unit Dried Red Chili
  • 1 thumb Fresh Ginger Root Finely chopped
  • 2 units Green Chili Finely chopped
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida
  • 5 units Curry Leaf
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder – Curcuma Powder
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Coriander Finely chopped

  • In a large pan, heat oil and roast peanuts until they become crunchy.
  • Add cashews to the pan and roast them till they become golden brown. Take the cashews and peanuts out and set them aside.
  • Now in the same oil, add mustard seeds, black lentils, split chickpea, and dried chili. Mix well and add ginger, green chilies, asafoetida, and curry leaves.
  • Keep the flame on medium and let it splutter. Add turmeric to the tempering and sauté gently.
  • Next, add the cooked rice to the pan along with salt and combine everything well.
  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice and add chopped coriander to garnish.
