Ingredients
 

  • 1 tbsp Basmati Rice Soaked
  • 1/2 tbsp Clarified Butter
  • 5 cup Milk
  • 7 tbsp Caster Sugar – Superfine Sugar – Baker´s Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Green Cardamom Powder
  • 10 Units Pistachio Chopped, For Garnish, Optional
  • 10 Units Almond Chopped, For Garnish

Instructions
 

  • Take a non-stick pan and add clarified butter to it.
  • In another deep non-stick pan, pour the milk and let it be on low flame for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, add rice to the clarified butter and saute it till it becomes light brown.
  • Add the milk to the rice, combine well and let it boil for 20-25 minutes.
  • When the rice is cooked, add the cardamom powder and sugar. Mix everything well and cook for 10 minutes more.
  • Turn off the flame and serve the Doodhpak in bowls. Garnish chopped almonds, pistachio, or the dry fruits of your choice.
  • Your Indian Traditional Rice Pudding from Gujarat  – Doodh Pak is ready. You can also cool it in the refrigerator and enjoy it chilled.
SERVE WITH:
