Ingredients
- 500 grams (1.1 lb) Beetroot
- 1½ cups White Sugar – Regular Sugar – Granulated Sugar
- 2 tbsp Honey
- ¼ cup Walnut Halves
- 3 pods Cardamom Whole
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
Instructions
- Peel the beetroot and slice in long thin cuts.
- Take a large pot and layer the beetroots at the base.
- Layer sugar above the beetroots.
- Add the water, cover the pot and set aside for a night. This will form a juicy mixture.
- The next day, heat a pan and add honey, whole cardamom, walnuts, and vanilla.
- Cook for 20 minutes, folding the mixture gently.
- If you see a froth, remove it gently.
- Just before a thick jam consistency forms, add lemon juice and mix.
- Let it cool, and refrigerate.

- The beetroots slices should be thin. You can also dice or use any gadget for spiral slices to make a different look.
